I’ve been having trouble just sitting down to write this because I know I have to get this done for a leadership meeting tomorrow. I figure, if I do it as a blog entry maybe I’ll actually write it out.
This is a cumulative list of my responsibilities as associate pastor at Discovery Church where I serve.
Total Hours: 31 - 43 hours per week
Salary: $430 per week ($22,360 over 52 weeks) no benefits.
Sunday Morning Responsibilities (24 hours)
- Prepare Powerpoint/Songs/Video clips for Sunday Presentation (11 hours)
- finding images to fit theme/scripture for various sections and elements - 2 hours
- Pulling data together and placing in structured presentation (comment sections, songs, announcements, etc…) from various sources (email, calendar, phone conversations, Ministry Teams & Relay) with appropriate graphics - 6 hours
- Review movie clips from various sources (wingclips/dvd videos and prepare them for presentation on Sunday Morning. - 3 hours
- Prepare Printed materials for Sunday Morning (5 hours)
- Offering Envelopes - 2 hours on as needed basis
- Bulletins (front side only) which includes various information from calendar and ministry teams, Powerpoint presentation, comic. - 1 hour
- Invitation products for various activities (skating party, upcoming services, etc…) - 2 hours on as needed basis
- Participate in planning team (2 hours)
- Provide Comment section(s)/Leadership for Sunday Morning (6 hours)
- research topic/theme/scripture - 3 hours
- be present and active during the worship service - 3 hours
Current Small Group Responsibilities (3 hours)
- Tuesday Bible Study - (3 hours)
- Prepare materials for study - 1 hour
- Attend and lead Bible Study - 2 hours
Pastoral Care and Administrative Tasks (4-16 hours)
- Visitation (hospital, nursing home, etc.) - As needed 1-4 hours
- Preparation, Participate and be active in Leadership Team meetings - As needed 1-4 hours
- Communication with other pastors via email/phone about situations/people etc. - As needed 1-4 hours
- Website maintained (includes calendar, news updates, spam moderation, and security - As needed 1-4 hours
My passions in life are my family, my relationship with God, creativity and expressionism. This blog, decloned, reflects those passions. My belief is that all true creativity comes from the Creator first and foremost.
