A simple walk in the woods can yield interesting things that have stories all their own.  There’s a trail through the woods near our house and I found this old lock there.  It looked like it had been broken open but not cut.  I thought the name was funny considering.  Best case scenario, someone misplaced a key and needed to get into whatever this lock was protecting.  Worst case scenario, a thief dropped/threw the lock away into the woods to get rid of it after their breaking/entering.
