We weren’t going to the Reds game, but it seemed like everyone else was. We were going to the aquarium. When we came out to go back to our car, I happened to catch this image in the parking garage. If you don’t know, this is the vintage Toyota Corolla. My parents had one when I was growing up. It didn’t have heat.
Let me rephrase that. It didn’t have a working heater native to the car. Meaning, my dad rigged a heater assembly from a much larger car by running two large hoses from the toyota’s radiator to the backseat. It took up half the backseat. The other half was my side. Either way, the backseat wasn’t very big. The heater also did not have an off switch for some reason so it got really hot (especially in the summer).
We once saw a guy with a very similar car try to flag down a train by standing on the tracks.
My theory to this day is this car will make you do crazy things or make you crazy.
