It’s funny when I go into galleries around town to see that most of the paintings I see are not selling very well. It may be just our local art community, or it could be something that reflects the economics of our particular area. I am in the process of trying to raise a little revenue to build my studio materials up and thought I would try to sell one of my own pieces. But while researching places to sell my work, ebay seemed like an option to at least try once.
So here it is. I’ve decided to sell my first original painting on ebay. “Fall Colors” from the Old Canvas/New inspiration posts is now for sale here on ebay.
I’ve always viewed artists who sold their work as “selling out” to some degree, but that was when I was younger and didn’t have bills to pay myself. So the auction is now begun. I plan on writing a review on selling artwork on ebay when this is done too.
