Happy fourth of July everyone. I hope you got to get out and see some fireworks. We did. They were great. Then today we went and saw two movies and just had a date day.
The first movie we saw locally, then we decided to drive out to our old residence to pick up our mail. It’s a story in itself how we ended up keeping our old PO Box, but we have (at least for a little while yet). Then we headed up to another city a little further south. Since everything but the theater was closed, we a second movie.
All of this comes back to a different point entirely. When we set out this morning, we didn’t really have much of a plan. Get our checks from various people, cash one, and have a day together. No big plan on how to do it. Since Becca, my wife is pregnant, we figure we won’t have as much of these kinds of days with a little one to take care of.
The ride back was foggy, warm and we could see fireworks about everywhere we drove even though it was in the country, some of those country folks put on some really nice shows to rival the city displays. We talked, we laughed, we sang. We had a good time doing it.
If I were to take one part of our day and relive it a thousand times like Bill Murray in Groundhog Day, it is the drive back spending time with my wonderful wife laughing, singing and talking.
It’s funny, the journey really is half the fun, but sometimes it’s so much more.

The State of Change
Change is hard. We all know it. We get tied into a persona, a name, an idea and we one day find that it's not us anymore. A friend of mine is contemplating changing his domain name. His old domain
