January 15th, 7:30pm – They are keeping Aidan one more night to make sure he is eating fine and all – haven’t been able to finish up tests and all on him cause he was crying every time they took him to the nursery – takes after his mother….lol. Updated Pictures below.
January 14th, 8:51am – Apparently there is some information that everyone wants that I forgot to share, well I didn’t have last night as of the last update.
Weight – 8 pounds, 6 ounces
Length – 20 1/2 inches
January 13th, 10:08pm – Aidan Wesley Alan Lehman is here. He arrived at 8:52pm – it’s been a little wild since. Thank you for all your prayers.
January 13th, 3:14pm – Becca is sleeping. We are just waiting on her body to make enough room for Aidan to come on out. Not really anything else to say at the moment. Check out this page for more information about the name we chose for him and what it means (and a cool song we played earlier today in the room).
January 13th, 11:55am – Okay, well most everyone is here… ‘cept baby Aidan. I think it will be neat later on in life seeing images of everyone waiting on Aidan to arrive. Knowing the history of his being here, knowing the meaning behind his name, he will know he is special.
January 13th, 10:48am – Dilated to 4 now. Epidural is in and Becca is in lala land. Well, not really. Just no more pain, but I think they have put a tube about everywhere plus a few extra places. Not much longer. Just a few hours or so.
January 13th, 7:29am – They came in this morning and started the pitocin and broke Becca’s water. Pretty much it’s up to Becca’s body to do the rest. She got to get up and take a shower this morning, but since last night was pretty rough on us both we are both exhausted.
January 13th, 2:30am – Becca’s snoring is causing problems. She is not getting enough oxygen while she sleeps for both her and the baby. The nurse put her on oxygen during the remainder of the morning. All in all, it’s not been the most restful night of sleep thus far for her. I have been up trying to encourage Becca to keep the oxygen mask on. She’s been taking it off, telling me that it’s only for a second, then falling back asleep without the mask on… the alarm then sounds when the oxygen level in her blood hits less than 94% of what it should be. Every time the blood oxygen level goes down, Aidan’s heart rate goes up to compensate for the lack of oxygen. As a side note and since I can’t sleep between the snoring, alarms and trips to the bathroom for Becca, I’ve been doing some research – Check out this article about the possible correlation between preclampsia and sleep apnea.

January 12th, 4:44pm – We are checked into our room at the hospital and they are starting an IV on Becca. Baby time is set for tomorrow morning.
January 12th, 1:16pm- Okay, Becca is going into the hospital tonight at 4pm and will be there overnight. Aidan is supposed to arrive tomorrow morning sometime. Right on time since January 13th is his due date. I’ll be updating this page off an on over the next 12 hours and of course after he is here.
January 7th, 7:29pm- They sent her home apparently. It may be another few days. argh.
January 7th, 4:46 pm- Becca is experiencing more symptoms of preeclampsia and is going back to the hospital this evening for some more tests. I am currently at work and my mom is driving in to pick her up and take her to the hospital. Please keep her and the baby in prayer as they are going to do more testing and evaluate her for birth. Aidan could be here tonight, much to the delight of my parents who are celebrating their anniversary today.
