We hit the Cincinnati Zoo yesterday as a family.  I think partly as an attempt to distract Aidan from his pain that he has been experiencing from a viral infection that has left his mouth in pain.  He is doing better, but still not 100%.

This spider was pretty cool though.  Aidan was intrigued with the Ants in the insect house so much so that I had some time to wander about.  I have to admit that I am still getting used to a lens with a large aperture and a fixed magnification.  The Canon 50mm Prime f/1.4 lens can virtually see in the dark, but wide open it is a hard lens to get completely in focus because of it’s paper thin depth of field.  Still getting the hang of it though.
