I run into these people all the time. It’s not so much that they can’t face reality… it’s just that they desire to avoid it at all costs.
Maybe it’s a cultural phenomenon that we would rather see what we want to see, a postmodern approach to the problems of life. It could even be a revamped form of existentialism for the new generation. Who really knows?
The problem isn’t that they are avoiding the problems in their own life through “re-coloring” their own world, it’s the fact that this is the new prescription. This is the new wave of dealing with issues and problems in life. Avoidance through a skewed perspective.
You know what they call people who not only desire a skewed reality, but desire to live there all the time?

My passions in life are my family, my relationship with God, creativity and expressionism. This blog, decloned, reflects those passions. My belief is that all true creativity comes from the Creator first and foremost.

i watched joel osteen the other day…
“no negative thoughts…there is a no vacancy sign in your mind for negative thoughts”
he spouts that kind of crap in hopes that if we just change the way we perceive the world everything magically gets better…
hmm…i’m not sure christianity works best when it tries to *subvert* reality rather than face it…
